Silent Lucidity

Queensrÿche fue una de mis primeras bandas del genero "Heavy Metal" aunque fue una de las primeras bandas junto a "Fates Warning" en iniciar el Metal Progresivo como género. El cantante Geoff Tate tuvo sus inicios como vocalista con estudios de Opera y es uno de los cantantes con alcande de 4-octavas con un tono único, intenso y muy expresivo. 

Aunque conocí a la banda por su aclamado disco conceptual "Operation Mindcrime" editado en 1988; fue en su disco "Empire" que consiguieron popularidad internacional y más amplia. Una de sus canciones más conocidas es "Silent Lucidity", claramente inspirada por "Comfortably Numb" de Pink Floyd, y es una de las "power ballads" mas reconocidas de la historia.
